Currently, most messenger programs such as Telegram support video messages, and the method of sending them is similar to the method of sending voice messages. As you probably know, to send a video message on WhatsApp, you must first tap on the icon for sending an audio message to switch to video message mode.

You can then record your video by simply holding your finger on the video message icon, and when you release your finger, the video will be sent. Also, just like voice messages, you can lock the video recording process by swiping up so you don’t have to hold down the record button.
