A research institute says that Threads can pass X; But this will not happen for a few years.

The Insider Intelligence Institute says in an analytical report that after an explosive start, Threads is now struggling to keep its users, and the number of monthly active users of this social network will probably be much lower than Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok by the end of this year; But Threads still has time to reach X (formerly Twitter) figures.

CNBC has accessed the data of Insider Intelligence. This news agency writes that the number of active American users of Threads will reach 23.7 million people by the end of 2023. Meanwhile, the number of American users of Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok is expected to be 177.9 million, 135.2 million, and 102.3 million, respectively.

In a controversial claim, Insider Intelligence says that the number of active American X users will probably reach 56.1 million by the end of this year, and the number of users of this social network will decrease over time. X is projected to have a total of 47 million US users by 2025. In the same year, the number of American Threads users will reach 30 million people.

The social network Threads reached 100 million active users shortly after its initial release and even broke ChatGPT’s record; However, the number of users of Threads has dropped drastically since then. Sensor Tower and Similaroob institutes have confirmed this issue in independent reports.
