Huawei’s new video refers to the updated design language and capabilities of the company’s next operating system called HarmonyOS Next.

HarmonyOS Next will be released soon, and now Huawei has released a video on Weibo showing the changes in the user interface design language of this operating system.

With the new version of its platform, the Chinese technology giant is trying to move away from flat design and introduce us to concepts like Vivid Color, Spatial, and Immersive.

The new version of HarmonyOS will be known as Star River and will end support for Android in China. Therefore, developers are already transferring their programs to the new Huawei platform; An operating system that has its own user interface toolbox and compiler, and which, according to the Chinese company, enables the creation of more efficient applications.

About half of the top 200 million apps in China are said to be released for HarmonyOS Next. Major Chinese companies, including China UnionPay, Qihoo 360, Xiaohongshu (China’s Instagram), Tongcheng (travel system), Amap (map and navigation system similar to Google Maps), and many others, support the new Huawei operating system.

 

The important thing is that HarmonyOS will continue to support Android in global markets, and HarmonyOS Next is only intended for the Chinese market. This platform will be applicable to Huawei phones, Huawei tablets, Huawei laptops, and other smart products of this company.
