Asus is releasing a new Xbox controller for PC this year that will feature a built-in OLED display and a host of connectivity options. Called the ROG Raikiri Pro, the controller has a small 1.3-inch OLED display above its Xbox button that shows custom animations, battery or microphone status, and more.

The controller‘s 128 x 40 resolution OLED display is largely used for switching profiles during gameplay, checking charging status, and Bluetooth connections, and playing text or animated wallpapers. The animation below shows how to display the content on the small screen of the controller.

There are two buttons on the top of the Raikiri Pro that are used to switch controller profiles during gameplay, and the way the buttons work, the sensitivity of the joystick, and more can be adjusted via Asus’ Armory Crate app on your computer. There are also four programmable buttons on the back, a trigger lock, and a circular D-Pad.

The Raikiri Pro is also the first Xbox-licensed controller with three-mode connectivity, including Bluetooth, 2.4GHz low-latency RF mode, and wired USB-C. X refers to the Raikiri Pro as a pro controller for PC, although many of its pro features can only be expected to work fully on PC.

The new controller also features a built-in ESS DAC, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a mute button. Asus hasn’t provided any information on the release date and price of the Raikiri Pro, but we only know that the controller will be available sometime in the first quarter of 2023.
