As a solution to deal with fake accounts, Elon Musk wants to allow organizations to identify accounts related to them.

Just a few days after Twitter Blue started working for $8 and received a blue tick through this service, many fake accounts similar to famous people and companies managed to get approval.
The new owner of Twitter, Elon Musk, said that organizations will soon be able to identify the accounts associated with them.

Blue’s new service has created a lot of chaos because of the blue tick that it offers to users for $8, and the problems have gone so far that the social network decided to stop new registrations on Friday.
Apparently, Twitter wants to reduce some of the problems of this service with a new solution.

Twitter allows organizations to identify accounts

On Twitter, Musk announced the possibility of identifying related accounts by organizations in the near future:

“With a soon-to-be-released feature, Twitter will allow organizations to identify other Twitter accounts that are truly associated with them.”

Musk hasn’t released more information about the feature, but as we said, it seems to be a partial response to the problems caused by the new version of the Twitter Blue service.

Along with famous people, fake accounts for well-known companies have also managed to get a blue tick. Although some fake accounts started posting funny tweets after receiving the blue tick, a few of them actually hurt companies.

For example, the fake account of the Eli Lilly pharmaceutical company, by publishing a tweet about free insulin, caused a decrease of 4.37% or nearly 15 billion dollars in the company’s market value.

Elon Musk’s new solution apparently prevents fake company accounts from receiving a blue tick.
In addition, the world’s richest man seems to have finally realized that Twitter needs a strong content review team, especially since many companies are no longer willing to advertise on social networks.
