The iOS version of Twitter has been updated with the $7.99 Blue subscription to get the blue tick.
The new version of Twitter for the iOS operating system has been released, which offers the new Twitter Blue service for users at a monthly cost of $7.99.
The iOS version of the Twitter app has been updated to support Elon Musk’s Twitter Blue service for $7.99 per month. In the description of the app’s latest update in the Apple App Store, it is written that you need to pay for the blue service so that your account will receive a blue tick “just like the celebrities, companies, and politicians you follow now“.
A new version of Twitter for iOS was released last night, which includes the new subscription service Twitter Blue. Currently, the only thing that has been added is that all users can get a blue confirmation by registering for this service. Twitter also hinted at some other new features “coming soon.”
Twitter’s upcoming changes

Finally, the description of the new version of Twitter on iOS is that the Twitter Blue service is now available in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. However, Twitter has been trying to make its previously very limited verification program available to more users. Twitter’s new owner, Elon Musk, is leaning heavily on the endorsement as a way to increase Twitter Blue’s subscriber base as well as increase the company’s revenue.
Also with today’s update, Twitter has removed all previous approval infrastructure, including the required blue tick request process. Also, in the Notifications section, a dedicated “Verified” feed is now displayed by default, and you’ll need to toggle it to see notifications from unverified accounts.
It’s not yet known exactly when receiving a blue tick via Twitter Blue will be enabled or when it will be available on Android devices, but it seems like we should expect it soon.
