Xiaomi’s new robotic dog backs up and costs $3,000 [Watch]
Xiaomi’s latest robotic dog can backflip on a skateboard and is priced at $3,000.
Xiaomi first unveiled the CyberDog robotic dog in 2021 as a competitor to the Boston Dynamics robotic dog called Spot. The second generation of Xiaomi Cyberdog was also introduced in the summer of last year, and its appearance is slightly improved compared to the previous model. The Chinese brand has used the MWC 2024 event to showcase its second-generation robotic dog.
Xiaomi CyberDog 2 is similar to the breed of Doberman dogs. This robot can perform rhythmic movements, which reminds us of Boston Dynamics’ Spot robotic dog. Other features of this robot include the ability to recognize the user’s face, follow him, and even skate.
According to Xiaomi’s official video on YouTube, CyberDog 2 is equipped with a large number of sensors, including LiDAR, so that it can understand the surrounding environment just like humans and respond to various obstacles as quickly as possible.
Xiaomi’s robotic dog can also turn and pat its back. Those interested can order this product right now in Europe for $3,000.
Xiaomi considers Cyberdog as a kind of home robot, and maybe one day these products will enter the homes of many people.
