Elon Musk: The number of monthly users of Platform X hit a record

In a new tweet, Elon Musk claimed that the number of monthly users of platform X, or the former Twitter, reached a new record in 2023. By publishing a graph in this regard, he showed that this number has exceeded 540 million users.

In a new tweet, the owner of Twitter shared an image and announced that the number of X users reached its highest level in 2023. This chart was published in a situation where this company has gone through big changes in the last few weeks and many claimed that this social network has lost some of its users.

Musk says the chart below shows the data from the beginning of this year. In addition, he says that a large number of bots have now been removed from the social network.

According to information previously shared by Elon Musk himself, Twitter had about 229 million monthly active users in May 2022. In November 2022, he published a graph that reported the growth of daily active users to 259.4 million.

This growth has occurred in a situation where Meta company launched a competitor to Twitter a few weeks ago to take users who are unhappy with the changes of this social network to its platform called Instagram Trades. However, the number of Twitter users has now dropped dramatically, and Twitter users seem to have increased instead.

Elon Musk said a few weeks ago that Twitter’s cash flow is still negative because about half of the company’s advertising revenue has decreased and they are under the burden of a heavy debt. In May, he brought Linda Yaccarino to Twitter to become the company’s CEO, presumably to help boost revenue. Iaccarino was previously NBCUniversal’s senior director of advertising.
