The Galaxy S23 FE uses the previous generation chips and is equipped with a 50-megapixel main camera.
As promised, Samsung unveiled the latest phone in the Fan Edition family: the Galaxy S23 FE. This smartphone is equipped with processors of a previous generation and uses the same design as Samsung’s flagships.
One of the important things about the new Samsung phone is the chip used in it. Samsung has only mentioned an advanced 4nm chip in the statement it released to introduce the Galaxy S23FE. However, depending on the target market, this chip will be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or the Exynos 2200.
Specifications and price of Galaxy S23 FE
Even though the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Exynos 2200 are previous generation chips, and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is coming soon, it’s still a decent improvement over the Galaxy S21 FE’s Snapdragon 888/Exynos 2100 chip.
The Galaxy S23 FE is equipped with 8 GB of RAM in the basic version and comes in two versions with 128/256 GB of internal memory. This device has made good progress in the camera department and instead of the 12-megapixel camera of the previous generation, it is now equipped with a 50-megapixel camera.
Despite this improvement, we shouldn’t expect the same camera as the Galaxy S23 or even the Galaxy S22. Galaxy S23FA is equipped with a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera with a 123-degree viewing angle and an 8-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. Users also get access to a 10-megapixel camera for recording selfies, which has a lower resolution than previous generations.
Galaxy S23 FE has dimensions equal to 158 x 76.5 x 8.2 and its weight reaches 209 grams. Samsung has used a 6.4-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X flat screen with Full HD+ resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate for this smartphone.
The Galaxy S23 FE runs Android 13 out of the box with One UI 5.1 and will receive up to 4 major versions of Android and up to 5 years of security updates. This device also supports the IP68 standard.

Samsung has used a 4500 mAh battery with 25W fast charging support for the latest FE family phone. This smartphone also supports wireless charging technology. The base price of the Galaxy S23 FE is $599, which is $100 cheaper than the previous generation.
