Specifications and price of Radeon RX 7900 GRE
The RX 7900 GRE graphics card, which GRE stands for Golden Rabbit Edition, is a weaker version of the RX 7900 XT, which has a lower dedicated memory. While the RX 7900 XT is equipped with 84 computing units, the RX 7900 GRE model uses 80 computing units. In addition, its frequency has been reduced from 2000 MHz to 1880 MHz.
The RX 7900 XT graphics card has 20 GB of dedicated memory with a speed of 20 Gbps and a 320-bit interface. This is while the Radeon RX 7900 GRE graphics card uses 16 GB of memory with a speed of 18 Gbps and a 256-bit interface. These changes have caused the bandwidth to decrease from 800 GB/s to 576 GB/s and of course, the thermal design power has also increased from 315 W to 260 W.
According to AMD, the RX 7900 GRE graphics card is more than a product suitable for 4K games, it is an efficient graphics card for running games at 1440p resolution. Even AMD has compared this graphics card with RX 6800 XT and introduced it as a replacement for this product.
AMD’s new graphics card will start at $649, and companies like PowerColor will launch their own version.
