Apple is apparently planning to release a low-cost AirPods called AirPods Lite with a possible price of less than $129.
Currently, there are four different models of Apple AirPods on the market, but these popular wireless headphones have a high price. Now this company apparently wants to release a new and cheaper version.
Jeff Po, an analyst at Haitong International Research Institute, said Apple is working on a low-cost AirPods called the AirPods Lite that could compete with low-cost wireless headphones. The market analyst claims that demand for Apple’s AirPods will decline in 2023, with AirPods sales expected to drop from 73 million units in 2022 to 63 million units in 2023.

Although the market analyst claims that Apple is working on AirPods Lite, no information about this product has been released yet, and it is not clear what specifications Apple’s cheap wireless headphones will have available to users. However, Jeff Poe describes it as a lower-priced product in competition with non-Apple headphones.
With the release of AirPods 3 in 2021, Apple made the previous generation AirPods 2 available to users at a lower price of $129. At that time, AirPods 3 had a price of $169. Apple’s low-cost AirPods Lite is expected to launch for less than $129. There is even a possibility that Apple will reduce the price of the second-generation AirPods to $99.
In 2022, Apple introduced the second generation of AirPods Pro with significant features, including noise cancellation and a new charging case with the U1 chip, and now it remains to be seen when its new wireless headphones will be released.
